Con la llegada de la Primavera también llegan deliciosas frutas.

Pensar en una fresca ensalada de frutas con un toque de miel y granóla, es como estar en el paraíso.

Una gran selección de las más ricas y nutritivas, manzanas, melocotones, kiwi, aguaymanto, plátanos granadillas y fresas .... soy una fanática de las fresas.

A large selection of the richest and most nutritious fruits: apples, peaches, kiwifruit, aguaymanto, bananas, granadillas and strawberries .... I'm a big  fan of strawberries.

Pompones de Papel Seda - Tissue Paper Pom Poms

¿Cómo Hacer Pompones de Papel? How to make tissue paper Pom Poms?

1.- Para que el pompón tenga una buena consistencia será necesario utilizar entre 8 a 10 pliegos de papel de seda. Doblar todos juntos en forma de acordeón. For the Pom Pom has a good consistency is necessary to use 8 to 10 sheets of tissue paper. Fold all together in an accordion shape.

2.- Amarrar firmemente el centro con hilo grueso o alambre de floristería. Tie securely in the center with heavy thread or florist wire.

3. Cortar los extremos, se puede hacer en forma redondeada o en punta. Cut the ends, could be rounded or pontied.

 4. Ir separando las capas de papel, uno a uno, tirando suavemente, para darle volúmen. Primero un lado y luego el otro. Separate layers gently one at a time. First one side then the other.

 5. Colgarlo y disfrutar de una muy bonita decoración. Hang and enjoy a very nice decor.

Hibisco Rosado - Pink Hibiscus

Caminando por allí  me detuve ha  admirar este hermoso regalo de la naturaleza, imposible no fotografiarlo. I stopped walking there, has to admire this beautiful gift of nature, impossible not to photograph it.

Un imponente hibisco rosado, una flor muy bella y de gran personalidad. Acá en Perú se le conoce como "Cucarda", se adaptan perfectamente en jardines externos, terraza o patios, necesitan de bastante luz, suelo fértil y húmedo. Hay muchos de ellos en los parques de la ciudad.

A stunning pink hibiscus, a beautiful flower with great personality. Here in Peru it is known as "Cucarda", they are well adapted to external gardens, terraces or patios, need plenty of light, fertile and moist soil. There are many of them in city parks.

Zurciendo - Mending

Hola amigos, acá les dejo una propuesta para zurcir una pequeña rotura accidental que tuvo esta polera. Un parche de corazones de fieltro, unos pestuntes y un botón.... acá no pasó nada!!!!

Hello friends, here is and idea  to mend an accidental tear that had this sweatshirt. A patch of felt hearts, some stitches and a button .... nothing happened here!!

Colcha Granny Crochet - Crochet Granny Blanket

Aprovechando estos días feriados, pude terminar mi colcha hecha a base de granny tejidos a crochet. Si desean ver el inicio del proyecto pueden hacer click acá.

Realmente ha sido un arduo trabajo con bastantes horas dedicadas, (si desean ver el avance del proyecto lo pueden ver acá)  pero que he quedado muy contenta con el resultado.

Mesa: Dulces Cerezas - Sweet Cherry Tablescape

Una mesa alegre y dulce, la inspiración vino de este lindo mantel. A cheerful and sweet tablescape, the inspiration came from this beautiful tablecloth.

Una combinacion de rojo, verde, blanco, con algunos detalles amarillos. A combination of red, green and white with come yellow details.

Mi nueva jarra y vasos de estilo francés. My new pitcher and glasses in french style.

La bandeja y servilletero pintados a mano y con detalles en decoupage. The tray and napkin holder are handpainted with some decoupage.

Bellas flores frescas: Astromelias rojas, Margaritas blancas y tres Iris amarillos.

Gorgeous fresh flowers: red Astromelias, white Daisies and three yellow Iris.

Camino de Mesa con Volado - Table Runner with Ruffle

Hoy les enseño como realizar  un camino de mesa sencillo, perfecto para las principiantes. Today I teach how to make a simple table runner, perfect for beginners.

Materiales:

Tela de Algodón (Una de color entero y otra estampada) Cotton fabric (one color and patterned fabric)

Alfileres - Pins

Hilo - Thread

Máquina de coser - Sewing Machine

Tijeras - Scissors

Como Hacerlo: How to do:

• Cortar una de las telas, en este caso la tela de un solo color, en forma de rectángulo, de 35cm de ancho y el largo de acuerdo al tamaño de su mesa. Teniendo en cuenta un centímetro de costura por todos los lados. Cut the fabric, in this case the one color fabric, rectangular shaped, 35cm in width and length according to the size of your table. Given an inch seam on all sides.

• Marcar todos los lados del camino con alfileres para luego pasarlo por la máquina de coser. Mark all sides of the runner with pins and then pass it through the sewing machine.

• Para el volante, cortar un rectángulo de la tela estampada, el largo y ancho dependerá de cuán frondoso y grande quieran el volante. Yo utilicé un pedazo de tela de unos 20 cm. de ancho y aproximadamente 50 cm. de largo.  Se necesitan dos de estos rectángulos. For the ruffle, cut a rectangle of patterned fabric, the length and width will depend on how big and leafy you want the ruffle. I used a piece of fabric about 20 cm. wide and about 50 cm. long. You need two of these rectangles.

•  Doblamos la tela en dos, y cosemos por el revés. Fold the fabric in half and sew from the back.

•  Le pasamos la máquina con una puntada grande. Sew it using a big stitch.

• Jalamos el hilo de abajo con cuidado y vamos frunciendo la tela. We pulled the down thread and gently gather the fabric.

• Doblamos por el lado derecho y lo cosemos al borde del camino. We turned into the right side and sew at the edge of  the runner.

•  Y así queda listo. And it's ready
